Biography

I graduated magna cum laude from Arizona State University with my bachelor's in Secondary Education: English. I have been teaching six years. Currently I am working on my Master's Degree in Educational Leadership with an emphasis in Principalship from Arkansas State University

My first teaching position was at Desert Vista High school where I implemented a summer bridge program for students going from eighth grade to Honors English as Freshmen. That July, I took a position teaching at Poston Butte and I taught English 9, Honors 9, English 10, Honors 10, English 12, and AP Literature. In my fifth year I  also became the Student Council advisor.

While teaching at Poston Butte I became trained in Kagan Cooperative Learning and received my certification for teaching AP English

This is my first year teaching at San Tan Foothills High School. I teach English 9 and AP Literature and I'm also the Student Council Advisor where we have already had several successes.

This is the first year San Tan Foothills Student Council are members of the Arizona Association of Student Councils which opens them up to several opportunities to grow as young leaders. Student Council hosted the biggest Welcome Back Dance this year with nearly half the Student Body in attendance.
