I’ve been dancing since the age of 3. I graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a BFA in Dance and Choreography and a BS in Mass Communications/Creative Advertising. I also have a MEd in Secondary Education from the University of Arizona. Before moving to Arizona four years ago, I danced in several local companies in the Washington, DC metro area as well as taught Dance at numerous studios and private schools.
Under my direction, San Tan Foothills dancers have been featured at events such as Chandler’s Woofstock, The East Valley Dance Festival, San Tan Valley HOA Festival, and at the Arizona High School Dance Festival, where they had the honor of being recognized as ‘Distinguished’. I also teach middle school at San Tan Heights K-8 as the Pom Line Coach. The Pom Line has had the opportunity to perform at Diamondbacks Dance Day and was even voted ‘Best Dance Team’ in October 2015 by Arizona Sports Network.
I serve as Secretary of the Arizona Dance Educators Organization. I recently served on the Arizona Dance Standards Revision Committee and the Student Learning Objectives Committee with the Arizona Department of Education (ADE), and I’m now serving on the ADE’s Standards Evaluation Committee.
